About Tour Guide Yasuko S.

Hello! My name is Yasuko. I was born and brought up in Oita. Oita is located in the eastern part of Kyushu, and is situated close to both the sea and the mountains. Oita is famous for its hot springs but there are many other good sightseeing spots, too.

I'm interested in travelling, and, meeting and talking with people. As an English tour guide, I'm rather new but I have hosted people from different countries as a volunteer for many years. I am a cheerful and positive

Hot Springs and A Natural Monkey Mountain Park

Beppu is famous for its hot springs. One is a regular bath which we usually soak in and relax in and the other is what we call "jigoku" which is just for watching as tourists' spot. There are several types of "jigoku". A steamed, healthy dish by using the heat of hot springs is called "jigokumushi", and it is good for lunch. You also visit natural monkey mountain with many monkeys.
