This half-day tour allows you to explore Colombo’s highlights. You’ll be able to tour the Fort and Pettah area, where you can see the main highlights: old colonial structures, a busy main street, beautiful religious places of worship, commercial areas, and administrative areas.
Colombo - at your hotel or a pick-up point
I will meet you at your hotel or another agreed-upon location in Colombo and drive you to Fort (Colombo 01). You can see the old clock tower, Galle Face Green, the old parliament building, the Presidential House, the Colombo Port, and many colonial constructions
We will stop in Pettah, where you can see Main Street and the Red Mosque (Colombo 11). You can take half an hour of free time to take photos in the bazaar or market area (Colombo 11). Continue towards Wolvendaal Reformed Church (Colombo 13), and en route, you can see a few colorful Hindu temples and the famous St. Lucia's Cathedral (Colombo 13).
We will continue the sightseeing tour. You'll be able to see the Fort Railway Station, which is another colonial structure. The first stop is at a Hindu temple (for 15 minutes), then we visit the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple (for 45 minutes).
We will stop at the Colombo National Museum (one-hour visit).
We will proceed to Town Hall (photo stop), which is a significant colonial structure. Afterward, we will proceed to Independence Square (stop for 15 minutes). You can also see the residential area on the way.
We will reach the new Parliament area and surroundings.
Afterward, drive towards Ashokaramaya Buddhist Temple (stop for 20 minutes) to see an amazing Buddha statue.
May stop for lunch where we can assist you in finding good local rice & curry, vegetarian, seafood, or Indian Restaurants as per your choice. We will drop you off at the hotel or drop-off point after lunch. If you are not taking lunch en route, we can straight off proceed to your hotel (for lunch) or drop-off point in Colombo.

7) Liquor & Alcohol are not served in hotels, restaurants, or any public places on Full Moon Poya holidays.
