Join me on this wonderful 6 hour walking tour where we will discover the best of the New and the Old Towns, which make Edinburgh a UNESCO World Heritage site.
We will start in the most elegant spots, Charlotte Square, where many illustrious minds of the Scottish Enlightenment once lived. We will explore Princes Street Gardens, enjoying one of the most breathtaking views of Edinburgh Castle. We will dedicate the second half of the tour to the incredible Old Town and its mysterious alleys.
At your hotel, if in the city centre or in Charlotte Square in front of the Georgian House
The best example of Georgian architecture, with elegant buildings including Bute House, the official residence of the First Minister of Scotland. Many stories to share regarding brilliants scientists and influential noblemen.
A stroll through the beautiful Princes Street Gardens, discovering the fascinating geology of the area. We will also see some incredible statues, with stories of unsung heroes and talented writers.
We will visit one of the most wonderful viewpoints with breathtaking panoramas and some iconic photos stops.
We will discover the Old Royal Burgh of Edinburgh, once sourrounded by citywalls. We will visit the best alleys called "closes", hear many fascinating stories about Royals, philosophers and thieves and learn about quirky old and new traditions
We will end the tour in front of the magnificent Edinburgh Castle, learning about its incredible history, from the Bronze Age to the Wars of Independence with England, up to the present day. So much to discover together!

This is a walking tour, so the tour will be completely on foot.
Please wear comfortable shoes and expect pure marvellously unpredictable Scottish weather. I recommend a waterproof jacket with a hood (perhaps an umbrella as well). Sometimes the sun shines in the sky and five minutes later you can have drizzle, wind and again sunshine, maybe with an enchanting rainbow!
